Description:
If you need help paying for your prescription drugs, you may qualify for a Prescription Assistance Program (PAP). PAPs are also called Patient Assistance Programs. Most drug companies offer PAPs as well as state governments and organizations supporting certain diseases or conditions. How can I find a PAP?
**Ask your doctor, clinic, or pharmacist.
**Go to the website for the company that makes the drug you need. Most drug companies have links to their PAPs on their home page.
**Look online. Some available sites are listed below, just click on the link:
RxAssist
Partnership for Prescription Assistance
Needy Meds
Even if you have Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage some PAPs will help you while you are in the "donut hole".
Your clinic, pharmacy or doctor's office may be able to help you apply for a PAP. If you have Medicare, call Wisconsin SHIP at 1-855-677-2783.
Your local ADRC or Dept of Aging is also a helpful resource. The Milwaukee on can be reached at: 414-289-6874
