Trellis is staffed with attorneys working to protect and promote the retirement security of workers, retirees and their families in the six-state region of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Trellis Pension and Retirement Rights (formerly Upper Midwest Pension Rights Project) is funded by the Administration on Community Living under the Older Americans Act Title II.
Pension and Retirement Rights often helps workers, retirees and their families in these areas:

- Obtaining and explaining retirement plan documents
- Correcting benefit miscalculations
- Assisting with recoupment actions
- Assisting with suspension of pension benefits issues
