The Department of Health SErvices (DHS) Telecommunications Assistance Program (TAP) is announcing the launch of a hearing aid financial assistance option under the TAP program. TAP Hearing Aid Assistance (TAP HAA) is an additional benefit option available to consumers to provide funding towards the purchase of new hearing aids to increase the efficiency and use of telecommunication devices for distance of communications by people who are deaf or severely hard of hearing. TAP HAA can provide $250 per hearing aid or $500 per pair per person.
