The Southern regional CYSHCN Center provides free and confidential assistance to parents of children with special health care needs. Specialists provide callers with information and referrals on a full range of services and programs for children with special needs, birth to 21. The network also includes the Wisconsin First Step Hotline, 800-642-7837, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
The services of the Southern Regional Center for CYSHCN And the Hotline are available free to all residents of Iowa County (as well as residents of Adams, Columbia, Crawford, Dane, Dodge, Grant, Green Juneau, Lafayette, Richland, Rock, Sauk and Vernon Counties)
The specialist at the CYSHCN Center can direct parents to books and articles, videos and websites pertaining to a child's special needs. The specialists can also supply information about parent support groups and training, as well as resources and services available in Iowa County.
