Golden Diner Program
The Rock County Nutrition program has five senior congregate dining centers. The Golden Dining centers offer well balanced meals Monday through Friday. Fun and friendship are part of each daily menu. A suggested donation is asked for each meal. No one will be denied a meal because of inability to make a donation.
Meals are available to:
• Anyone 60 years or older.
• Their spouse regardless of age.
• Any person with a disability who resides at home with an eligible senior also eating at the dining center.
• Each menu has been approved by a registered dietitian and meet the recommended Heart Health (low Sodium) diet. Diabetic diets are available upon request.
• Reservations are required and must be made by noon of the prior business day.

Home Delivered Meal Program
The Rock County Nutrition program offers the Home Delivered Meal Program. This program covers all of Rock County. Weekday meals are delivered to those who are homebound and unable to cook for themselves. Meals are available Monday through Friday. Frozen meals are available upon request for weekends and holidays.
How do you qualify for a home delivered meal?
•A person must be 60 years of age or older or be a spouse of a person at least 60 years of age who receives meals. A non-elderly handicapped person may participate in the program if they live with an elderly person and the elderly person is receiving meals.
•The special dietary needs of the individual can be met by meals available.
•The individual must be homebound (does not leave their home under normal circumstances). The person must be unable to participate in the congregate meals program because of physical or emotional problems.
•The individual is able to feed himself.
•There is no spouse or other adult living in the same house or building willing to prepare all meals.
•The individual is unable to physically or emotionally obtain food and prepare adequate meals.
•The individual agrees to be home when meals are delivered or to contact the program when absence is unavoidable.
