Description:
This program is charged with protecting the rights of clients in State mental health institutes, State centers for people with intellectual developmental disabilities, and Chapter 980 patients in the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center.
The Client Right Office (CRO) is also responsible for assuring the proper implementation of the client rights and the grievance resolution procedures under State law for all licensed and certified programs in Wisconsin (public and private) that provide treatment or services to persons with a mental illness or intellectual developmental disability, or are recovering from substance abuse. CRO also handles appeals of program level community grievance decisions under DHS94.
