Northern Valley provides vocational services for individuals with disabilities. We currently offer three primary programs:
*Classroom Training: Called SOAR- our classroom training program focuses on soft skills in a classroom setting. Participants work in small groups to learn about, practice and carry forward skills that will help them be successful in future community employment.
*Community-Based Prevocational Services: This program is designed to build and keep focus on developing skills for successful community employment by being in the community, meeting employers and others working and volunteering in our area. Participants are involved in a variety of activities that support development of employability skills, including volunteering, employer visits, and accessing employment information via the Job Center and other resources.
*Supported and Integrated Employment: Working primarily for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, our staff works with individuals to match them with community employment opportunities that provide them integration and independence. We also provide follow-along services to help make sure the job continues to meet both the employee and employer’s needs.
