Computer Technology, Evaluation and Training for the Blind and Visually Impaired
The council provides evaluation services and training to individuals and groups about how to use technology to enhance their lives and stay connected to others. These services include assistance and training using screen reader software, screen magnifier software as well as basic software training.
Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired is a not-for-profit agency. It's mission is to promote the dignity and independence of people in Wisconsin who are blind and visually impaired. Services include free white canes, rehabilitation specialist, assistive devices at cost, low vision specialist, advocacy, scholarships, assistive technology education, referrals, speakers bureau and low interest loans.
